In September 2015, Michael Duma’s client stood charged in Johnson County District Court with Domestic Battery - Second Offense and Criminal Damage to Property. Although the State had offered Michael’s client a favorable plea offer, his client refused to admit guilt to a crime that he did not commit. Michael supported his client’s decision to proceed to trial, and after cross-examination of the alleged victim and arresting officer, the Court found Michael’s client not guilty and discharged him of any further liability in the case.
