About
Dedee Novak is a paralegal at Duma Law Offices with extensive experience supporting criminal defense matters at every stage of a case. She earned her Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Metropolitan Community College–Penn Valley and joined the firm in 2019.
Dedee is known for her strong multitasking ability and client-focused approach. She works closely with Michael and provides steady, detailed support to clients and their families—from the earliest investigation through resolution. Whether a matter is in Federal Court or Municipal Court, Dedee helps keep cases on track by maintaining regular client contact and updates, managing the discovery process, monitoring the case calendar and deadlines, and drafting pleadings and correspondence. She also organizes document production, maintains the client file, and plays a key role in preparing for mediations, hearings, and trials.
A Kansas City native through and through, Dedee enjoys reading, traveling, sewing, and playing pool. She’s a devoted Chiefs fan and never says no to great Kansas City barbecue.
